Today, October 31, is a popular holiday, celebrated by many the world over. It is Halloween, now a commercial holiday, all about costumes, pumpkin, sweets and spooky stories, but originally, it was a day to commemorate, remember and celebrate those who had died. Roy decided that, since his weekly outing fell on Halloween itself, it would be good to visit somewhere which 'fitted the theme'. When I reminded him that we had been wanting to visit the historic Waverley Cemetery, he thought this would be perfect.
