
Recently, one of the children Roy knows has asked for a specific recipe. When this child was on holidays with their family they purchased these soft, yellow biscuits sandwiched together with pink icing at a country shop. They had them for lunch, and loved the biscuits, but they didn't know what they were called, or how to make them, and they were a long way away before the ate them. The child asked Roy if he might know what they were, and how to make them. Luckily, these biscuits just happen to be one of Roy's favourites. Today, they usually seem to be called Yoyo Biscuits, but the original recipes which Roy has (and we have a few) call them Radio Biscuits. Either way, they are delicious! Imagine, you are a young lady living in the 1700s. The blue and white ceramics coming in on the boats carrying tea are very pretty and you would dearly love to have lots of it for your table. You have a few pieces and it is so strong, much more lasting than the English pieces, and yet the decorations are so delicate. It's all the rage though, and your husband hasn't yet managed to buy many pieces. He has found a few pieces of English make which seem to be painted in the Chinese style though, and you think there will be more and more of them over time!

This week, Roy decided that with the holidays well under way, and the weather warming up, it was time to head for the coast. Roy loves the country, but he knows that as Summer approaches many of his online friends head for the beach, so he wanted to find somewhere interesting to visit near the sea. He decided it had been a while since his visit to Wollongong, and as he looked over the photos of the trip, he remembered Osborne Park. He loved this little park, with its scultures and historic bridge and thought it would be the perfect place to visit.
